When the 2015 Gault&Millau Melbourne and Sydney Restaurant Guide launched, it put Australia's two top foodie cities on par with those in Europe, showcasing this side of the world's culinary culture. At the launch party, held at Two Ton Max in North Melbourne, it was a French-style soiree theme - canapes included French onion soup shots and snails. Renowned chef Jacques Reymond was there to kick off festivities, and other chefs and restaurateurs in the crowd included Geoff Lindsay (Dandelion), Cory Campbell (Vue de Monde), Benjamin Cooper (Chin Chin), Joe Grbac (Saint Crispin), Daniel Wilson (Huxtable) and Christian McCabe (The Town Mouse). Happy eating!
