Each year, several milliners are hand-picked for the Millinery & Style event, in conjunction with the BMW Caulfield Cup Carnival. Milliners show ticket-buyers there wares, and some of those lucky present get to win some hats, to boot. Most amusing on the night - among Brett Morley, Jill Humphries and Serena Lindeman - was Peter Jago, who came up with phrases such as "A fascinator is not fascinating...." Also there was bag designer Michaela Menichelli, showcasing her new faux eel-skin clutch collection, just in time for racing season.
